Formal Apology

Well,
I want to start off buy saying sorry for offending the Ticos.

I said things in the spongeBOB post that I probably did not need to. I admit that. It was a defense on my part but this primarily stems from my Growing frustration to try and get anything done in this country in a timely manner or with business ethic that I am used to from so many other nations. I am sympathetic to their/your situation and what your politicians have done to you and the state your country is in.

I did not want to come off as a bigot or racist towards any specific group, but that was just where the topic of conversation went... and i used my knowledge of the ticos flaws in a context that was dimeaning. That I am sorry for. I could easily use this method of retort with any other group of people that I am familiar with.. Much like the Tico's do with the Nicas for example.

If I came off as an asshole... well... its cause i am. Simple and plain... if i dont like something, i say it... Been that way my whole life... dont see it changing anytime soon. Worked Thus far.

I would also like to mention that the threats did not initially rise from me... it was someone else...(read the thread) I dont take kindly to threats... I also enjoy a good ass kicking for someone who deserves it... Its how I was raised...So if I seemed like a prick just talking shit... im not... im a nice guy... till you piss me off... which is not a good idea.

Anyways... im sure this will not make all of you happy... but... who am I right?
Still Migrating to Panama....(now that might make the rest of you happy

Nice one bro, apologies are always good. I agree with you though, honesty is the best policy even though it may piss people off. Ticos are famous for lying and/or keeping their mouth shut rather than hurting peoples feelings, Gringos are not. I have pissed off plenty during my stint on these forums, but I have always been consistently and brutally honest. In my opinion it is ok to apologize for hurting people, but when you are right you are right, whether its pretty or not.

Im sure a lot of us have experienced the stupid dead ends of burocracy and useless people like we all know infest the Costa Rican system, mostly if you are dealing with government institutions, for example 3 months ago we had to open a secondary office 1 block from here, we needed a fiber optic line from the main office to the secondary office, guess what ?

4 months to do it ... just impossible for our business ...

So somebody offered to do it on a week for 2 1/2 K , well, as much as i dislike it the system forces you to do that stuff, very frustrating ...

All in all i can understand that, and in all honesty i appreciate your apologie to Ticos overall, just as you, there are ticos trying to make a living that face the same shit.

Pd. Still following threats wether you started or not, can be dangerous, theres always someone out there that can kick our ass, wether we are tough son of bitches or not.
